Who we are:

Virginia Mergers & Acquisitions, LLC was founded in 2024 by Brian Owens (pictured here). Brian is himself a serial entrepreneur, with a passion for helping others realize their dreams of owning and exiting a business of their own. He spent much of his career in corporate America working at large companies (see LinkedIn profile) helping them scale their digital marketing efforts.

Brian started Virginia Mergers & Acquisitions to serve small and medium sized business owners who may not have the same resources at their disposal as larger companies do, to realize their full potential. When he isn’t working, he loves to take his wife fishing in their kayaks, going golfing, attending Bible studies and worship services at church, and enjoying a good meal at a restaurant he’s never been to before!

Through our network of SBA lenders, M&A advisors, business attorneys, marketing experts, and investors, we have a service track that can help anyone gain clarity on their next steps towards creating an awesome business that can one day be passed on to another entrepreneur.

Our associations:

Virginia Mergers & Acquisitions belongs to both the IBBA, and the CVBBA. The International Business Brokers Association is the world’s largest association of professional business brokers, with over 3,000 members worldwide. Their educational resources and standards of conduct are the highest you will find. We regularly participate in IBBA conferences, trainings, and events.

As mentioned, we are also a member of the Carolinas Virginia Business Brokers Association. The CVBBA is an affiliate association of the IBBA. We regularly participate in CVBBA member events, networking opportunities, and committees. As of 2025, our founder Brian serves on the CVBBA webinar committee to help bring educational topics to brokers in the association, and to further our profession. Because entrepreneurship and business ownership are things we hold dear to our vision of seeing Virginia flourish, it is important to us that we align ourselves with other professionals who are seeking to help those we help. We are proud to participate in these associations, and thankful for the knowledge and experience shared amongst the membership.
